Hello my DA Family!

Firstly, I wish to apologize that I've not been around recently; unfortunately with me working full time again (and with tons of responsibility), I don't have much time for my art anymore. However, I want to thank you for all your continued support and kind words on my art.

Secondly, I want to thank whomever bought two of my prints! I'm astonished and amazed! I deeply thank you for the support and hopefully with more time and practice more of my art will be purchased.

I hope all of you are well and continuing what you do best!

Much Love to All,

Rena

Hello my DA Family

Well, here's another update to my situation that's kept me from DA/ work and my hobbies.

After getting my MRI/tests completed it looks like I've ruptured two discs in my lumbar vertebre so it'll take some time to heal and my GP had referred me to a neurosurgeon due to the lack of feeling in my legs and the pressing of nerves to consider surgery.

After attending a consultation with the neurosurgeon he said I don't need surgery as of yet. He however put me on Dexomethsone which is a strong steroid to help with the inflammation to help settle it and repair the discs on it's own. He only wanted me to take it for week. Then, in about a month's time, he would suggest an epidural steroid to help assist it further. For those of you who don't understand what an epidural is, it's where they inject a steroid directly into the spine to give a more potent dosage of medication directly into the body and for women who are in labour, assist with the labour pain.

However, this is not to be the case. Turns out that the dexomethosone I was taking caused me to have serious and extremely adverse side effects to it to where I was becoming blind and suffering from a high fever. I immediately consulted the neurosurgeon and suggested I stopped taking immediately. So I'm in limbo until my GP returns from holidays next week until we can find something else to work.

Since stopping the steroid I've been in much more pain and extremely sensitive across the back but I'm hoping with the time to rest it'll decrease and I'll be able to rest easier. I'm still on my morphine but it seems to do so little now. All I hope is that I will be able to get back into work again soon as I'm losing my mind from boredom and the incessant nagging of back pain.

Sorry for such a long update, but I thought I'd let you know I'm still here and that I wanted to thank you all for all the love and support through this time for me.

I'd also like to give a special thanks to a lost friend of mine who took the time to told me to get better and now I feel so much more whole.

Thanks to you all for your love, support and compassion and I'll do my best to get well again to produce my works and to be a productive member of society.

Much Love to All

Hello my DA Family

Just thought I'd update you all to my condition. Unfortunately it hasn't gotten any better and in fact has gotten worse, hence my long vacation from DA. It has recently come to my attention that I have prolapses and bulging discs in my lumbar spine along with possible kidney problems so it's back to the doctors and specialists I go.

I've also found recently that I've got bone spurs in my back which cause more problems since they are close to the bulging discs which are impenging on nerves which causes me loss of feelings in my leg. So here I go, about to go into an ultrasound for my kidneys and let me tell you that I've never drank this much water in one sitting in all my life! I feel like I'm sloshing around like a water bed.

As soon as I'm able, I'll give you all an update on how my progress is going. I miss you all and I hope you'll all keep your spirits up for me.

Until Next Time, Much Love to you All,

Rena (Succubus-Angel)

Hello my DA Family

I just wanted to apologise for how long I've been away. I've been so busy with work and so much more than it's been hard to find the time to actually get online and check all of your submissions and polls and journal entries. I again apologise for any annoyance that the spammer may have caused to any and all of you who received those stupid messages.

Well...what goes on with life...lessee

Unfortunately, I've had to miss two full weeks of work due to a serious injury to my back. At first it was misdiagnosed as a simple muscle cramp then I went to see my actual GP; turned out I had an upper thoracic facet joint dislocation that required immediate physio. It's still not one-hundred percent 14 days later, but it's healing and so much the better.

Since then, I've been getting a lot of rest, seeing doctor and physio on a very regular basis and so much more medical facilities that I think I'm set for my old age.

In the mean time, I'm on some painkillers and now back at work part-time again. I just hope I can get back to full hours again; not for the money but rather the contribution of my work.

However, not all of my experience has been a negative one. Through my rehabilitation, I've managed to draw some fantastic pieces that I'd love to share with you all if you're interested.

Well, sorry to yak all your ears off, but I wanted to let you all know that you're still in my thoughts and heart and know that I find all of your works amazing and seeing progression and polishing of your talents. Keep up the fantastic work and I'll do my best to find some time to reply to all of your works.

Much Love to All,

It's been brought to my attention that someone has gotten into my account and have started spamming my watchers.

First off, I wanted to say that I'm sorry that this has happened to you guys. Never would I do something so childish or immature especially what the message is.

I'll be changing my password and whatnot to help prevent this from happening again. I guess it pays to check my account on a more regular basis.

I hope all of you are doing well and again, I do apolgize for any inconvience this spammer/hacker has caused.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help!

Much Love to All,

Rena (Succubus-Angel)
